Karen and Katy Rippetoe founded The 501 House to help women pursue the next steps of their journey after treatment. After noticing a need for safe and affordable housing for those leaving incarceration or fighting addiction, they decided to create a space just for that. Built to be a continuation for those seeking to be active in their recovery, the hope is to give women more flexibility and freedom as they re-enter society and continue to heal.
The 501 House is a place that fosters love, acceptance, and peace. No judgment, hate, or discrimination is tolerated within these walls. Our promise to our residents is that we will always support, advocate, and assist them in any way we can.
The 501 House is a Tennessee Association for Recovery Residences (TN-ARR) approved house whose main focus is to provide a stable living space for women fighting addiction.
At The 501 House, we believe in a “recovery lifestyle” approach that encompasses many areas of life. Our goal is to help residents be proactive in their recovery by helping encourage empowerment, stability, healthy relationships, and coping mechanisms. We understand that addressing underlying trauma and mental health issues is an integral part of this journey.
